Preignition: Use Gobuster and default credentials

posted on 31.5.2023 by Below Surface in "Hack The Box"

Exchange ip with your machines IP address!

sudo nmap -sV ip

Relevant output:

80/tcp open  http    nginx 1.14.2

We will use GoBuster to collect more information about the server:

sudo gobuster dir -w /usr/share/wordlists/dirb/common.txt -u http://ip

Relevant output:

/admin.php            (Status: 200) [Size: 999]

So we navigate to the URL

And a lucky guess will be

Username: admin
Password: admin
